Micrometer screw gauge is one such precision measuring instruments that are used most frequently for measuring dimension in the micrometer range. Mainly employed for thickness or diameter and or some short-length measurement, it is based on a screw thread device for exact measurement and possesses the scalable facility and characteristics.
