About: Dr. Ruchika Yogesh is an entrepreneur, science and AI/ML enthusiast, medicinal chemistry subject matter expert (SME), scientific/medical copyeditor, and an independent researcher. She has more than 15 years of mixed experience working in a pharmaceutical company as a senior research scientist; classroom teaching to pharmacy students (bachelor’s and master’s level), writing and editing scientific content and books (with emphasis on medicinal chemistry/chemistry subject) and starting and managing start-up companies. She has several publications in peer-reviewed international journals, international patents and book chapters to her credit.
She has completed a Ph.D. in medicinal chemistry (focus on synthetic organic chemistry) from Central Drug Research Institute, India (one of the premier research institutes in India). She completed her Masters in Science and Bachelors in Science degrees from Banaras Hindu University (premier Central University in India).
She is a startup enthusiast with a basic instinct of starting things from the scratch and learning continuously to build it. This quality empowers her to take suitable roles in a startup environment, edutech, medtech, and scitech being her favorite areas.
Publications and Patents: She has 15 international publications in peer-reviewed journals, 4 international patents, 4 book chapters and other miscellaneous Indian publications for pre-university students.
Awards and achievements: She had been awarded ‘Late Prof. Sanat Kumar Basu’ Gold Medal for standing First in Chemistry at the M.Sc. Examination 2001; B.H.U. Gold Medal for Standing First in Chemistry at the M.Sc. Examination 2001; ‘Dr. Prithvi Nath Bhargava’ Medal for securing highest percentage of marks at the M.Sc. (Chemistry) Examination 2001 with specialisation in Organic Chemistry. She secured 3rd highest marks in B.Sc. (Chemistry Hons.) Examination 1999 at University (B.H.U.) level and qualified CSIR JRF–NET and GATE exams in 2001.
