In a hole basis system, the hole remains constant, while the shaft’s upper and lower deviation values define the type of fit. In a hole-based system, the hole’s lower deviation will be zero. In the Shaft basis system, the shaft remains constant, and the type of fit is determined by the hole upper and lower deviation values. In the shaft basis scheme, the shaft’s top deviation will be zero.
